Atlanta Track Club Plans 30+ Running Events Throughout 2026
The organization behind Running City USA keeps local runners on the move with marathons, 5Ks and trail options from January through December.
How we reported this

Atlanta Track Club is staging more than 30 events in 2026, covering distances from 5Ks to full marathons on routes that include the Beltline and Peachtree Road.
The schedule arrives at a time when Atlanta residents seek regular outdoor activity amid summer heat and year-round fitness routines. Organizers have already completed the July 4 Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race, the 57th edition of the city’s signature 10K, while remaining summer and fall races stay on the calendar.
Key Dates Anchored in Atlanta
The Publix Atlanta Marathon Weekend runs February 28 to March 1 and features a full marathon, half marathon, 5K and kids’ events that double as the USATF Half Marathon Championships. Later in the year the club adds the Eastside Beltline 12K/3K on December 5 and the Dashing Through the Square 5K in Marietta on December 19.
Additional events listed in the 2026 guide include the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Polar Opposite Peachtree Road Race on January 3, the Chattahoochee Road Race 5K/10K on March 7 and the Possum Trot 10K on June 20 at the Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell. Trail and obstacle options such as Dirty Spokes events and the Spartan Trifecta Weekend on March 14-15 round out the offerings for runners wanting variety.
Staying on the Calendar
Runners can review full details and registration on the Atlanta Track Club site or the Atlanta FI running calendar at https://atlantafi.com/atlanta-running-calendar-marathons-races/amp/. Early registration for several events, including the Peachtree Road Race, typically opens months ahead, and participants are advised to confirm dates and course conditions directly with organizers as the season progresses.
The Tech Race 5K takes place on Sunday, August 9 at 8:00 p.m. The Atlanta Donut Dash 5K follows on August 29. These evening and late-summer races give participants options that fit around daytime schedules and warmer conditions.
Weekly groups add steady options outside the larger events. The Buckhead Run + Walk Club meets Tuesdays at 6:00 PM. The Red Light Running Society gathers every Saturday. Both provide regular routes and company for runners who prefer consistent local loops rather than race-day crowds.
Trail series such as Dirty Spokes and obstacle races like the Spartan Trifecta Weekend on March 14-15 give runners paths that differ from pavement events. These formats let participants move through varied terrain and test different skills while remaining part of the broader Atlanta running scene.
