Atlanta Arts Organizations Launch Programming With Local Grants, Venues
Organizations and spaces across Atlanta support music, comedy and visual arts programming with documented funding and scheduled events.
How we reported this

The Spruill Center for the Arts opened 15 artist workspaces inside the former Chamblee City Hall building, adding studio capacity in the Chamblee neighborhood.
This step fits a pattern of sustained local investment in cultural infrastructure. Arts and Entertainment Atlanta, a Downtown initiative, has distributed more than $150,000 in grants to 35 artists and organizations since 2020 to fund programming. Those grants have helped keep recurring events and exhibitions active even as national headlines focus elsewhere.
Performance Dates at Major Venues
State Farm Arena has listed several comedy shows for the 2025-2026 period. Nate Bargatze performs there on November 16, 2025. Bert Kreischer appears on January 31, 2026. Katt Williams is scheduled for February 14, 2026, and Gabriel Iglesias takes the stage on April 4, 2026. The same venue circuit also hosts the annual Shaky Knees Music Festival, set for April 29 through May 1 at Central Park with Green Day, Billy Idol and Nine Inch Nails on the bill.
These dates give Atlanta residents concrete options without relying on out-of-town travel. Ticket platforms such as those listed on SeatGeek and Ticketmaster carry the listings for the arena shows.
Museum Exhibitions and New Workspace
The High Museum of Atlanta maintains two long-term exhibitions through its current schedule. Picturing the South: 25 Years runs through February 6, while Italian Renaissance Masterpieces opens March 13. The Spruill Center addition in Chamblee provides working space that complements these display-focused institutions by supporting artists who may later exhibit in Downtown or Midtown venues.
Visitors seeking current listings can consult the event calendars maintained by Creative Loafing, Atlanta Magazine and the City of Atlanta website. Those sites aggregate the same verified dates and grant records used in local planning.
