The Atlanta Braves swept the Philadelphia Phillies in a three-game series over the weekend, taking sole possession of first place in the National League East with a 5-3 win on Sunday afternoon at Truist Park.
The result arrives with the regular season past the halfway mark and the July 14 All-Star break just days away, sharpening the focus on every remaining series as teams jockey for playoff seeding.
Supporters filled the concourses at The Battery Atlanta before each game, while the Braves Youth Academy in the East Lake neighborhood hosted clinics for local players on Saturday morning. The academy, run by the team, draws participants from neighborhoods across Fulton County and emphasizes skill development alongside academics.
Combined attendance for the three games reached 115,626, an average of 38,542 per contest, with the lowest ticket price listed at $22 for upper-level seats on July 10. The Braves improved to 52-39 overall and lead the division by one game over the New York Mets.
Starting pitchers combined for 18 innings across the series while allowing just four earned runs. The offense collected 11 extra-base hits, including four home runs, and stranded only seven runners in scoring position. Relief appearances totaled 9.2 innings with a 1.86 ERA.
These numbers build on a June stretch in which the club won 17 of 27 games, a stretch that included a four-game sweep of the Miami Marlins at home. The recent results have lifted the team two games above .500 on the road for the first time since early May.
The Braves open a three-game set against the New York Mets on Monday evening at Truist Park, with first pitch scheduled for 7:20 p.m. Single-game tickets remain available through the team website and at the box office located on Hank Aaron Drive, starting at $18 for general admission. Fans planning to attend can also purchase parking passes in advance for the decks adjacent to the stadium.
